L'oncle de Fred, le célèbre chef Bobby Flay, dirige le Rocky Harbor Culinary Resort, un restaurant gastronomique renommé. Selon la légende, l'ancêtre de Bobby aurait été enlevé par le mystérieux «Fantôme rouge». Quand le spectre réapparaît soudainement, Fred, Scooby-Doo et leurs amis mènent l'enquête, secondés par Bobby et Giada De Laurentiis.
