Chloé travaille dans l'événementiel, elle organise une foire de Noël dans la ville de Fairmont. La première année, elle tombe amoureuse d'Evan, mais Evan vient d'être muté et part à l'étranger. La deuxième année, il revient, mais avec une fiancée au bras. Chloé ne souhaite plus l'attendre et cède aux avances de son collègue de travail, Ted. Au 3e Noël, lorsqu'Evan revient, elle s'en tient à sa relation avec Ted. Mais c'est Ted qui la laisse tomber : ils n'ont rien en commun. La 4e année, Chloé n'y croit plus et apprend qu'Evan est parti au Canada. Mais comme dit le Père Noël, il faut toujours croire en sa bonne étoile.
